Zimpler’s capabilities in Estonia.

Zimpler provides a streamlined Pay by Bank deposit flow in Estonia, designed for regulated environments and reliable performance.

Capabilities include:

  • Optimized deposit flow
  • Detailed error codes for diagnostics
  • Updated deposit service infrastructure
  • KYC data retrieval
  • eID support
  • Cross-loop payouts (in development)

Four consecutive quarters of performance gains in Estonia.

Over the past year, we have seen steady, quarter over quarter performance improvements in Estonia.
Not from a major relaunch. Not from a single feature release. But from focused iteration.

We spoke with Fredrik Sevandersson, Product Owner at Zimpler, about what has changed and what has not.

Q: Estonia has now delivered four consecutive quarters of performance improvements. What is behind that trend?

“Consistency. We did not introduce one dramatic change. Instead, we focused on refining the core flow, reducing friction in bank selection, strengthening bank connections and improving how we handle edge cases.

In Pay by Bank, small optimizations compound. When you make the flow slightly smoother each quarter, performance follows.”

Q: What areas have seen the most attention?

Three areas primarily.

1. Flow discipline
We reduced unnecessary steps and made sure the path from intent to confirmed deposit is as direct as possible, especially for returning users.

2. Bank-level optimization
We worked closer with key Estonian banks to improve deposit performance and reliability, while expanding support for our updated deposit service.

3. Error transparency
We improved diagnostic visibility for merchants. Better error codes and clearer status handling reduce friction when something goes wrong.

None of this is flashy. But it is fundamental.”

Q: In a regulated market like Estonia, how do you balance performance and compliance?

They are not separate tracks.

If compliance is bolted on afterwards, it creates friction. If it is built into the architecture from the beginning, performance becomes more stable over time.

In Estonia, we have strengthened our bank integrations and refined KYC integration points to ensure predictable and compliant payouts. Stability creates confidence for both merchants and users.”

Q: Why is Estonia such a priority market?

“Estonia is a key market for many of our merchants. When our partners operate at scale in a regulated environment, we invest accordingly, with dedicated product focus and continuous improvement.

Our strategy is to concentrate resources where our merchants are most active and where performance truly matters. That means going deep rather than spreading ourselves thin.

Estonia reflects that approach.”

Q: Why highlight this progress now?

Because consistency matters.

We operate in regulated environments where continuity and reliability are critical. Four consecutive quarters of improvement show that the team is focused and executing.

This is not about a short term uplift. It is about building durable performance over time.”

Q: What comes next?

More iteration.

We will continue optimizing deposit flows, strengthening payout predictability and refining bank integrations. Marginal gains add up and in regulated markets that is how you create durable performance.”

Sustainable performance does not come from a single release. It comes from disciplined improvement over time.

And that work continues relentlessly.
